Disability in the Workplace Training

Microsoft Project Training Course

This two-part instructor course provides practical training on understanding disability, meeting legal responsibilities, and confidently applying inclusive practices in the workplace. On completion of the course, attendees will have the knowledge and confidence needed to support disabled people effectively. This includes understanding different types of disabilities and workplace barriers; applying the Equality Act 2010 in workplace situations; identifying and implementing reasonable adjustments; using assistive technology; and handling conversations around disability in a clear, compliant, and supportive way.

The training consists of two half-day sessions: “Understanding Disability & Legal Responsibilities” and “Applying Inclusive Practices in the Workplace.” People can attend either session as a stand-alone course, although we recommend attending both sessions to build a strong foundation of knowledge and being able to apply this confidently in workplace situations. Delegates will leave with tools such as checklists and templates that can be used within their organisation. The skills and approaches covered in this course focus on applying knowledge in real workplace scenarios, supporting a more inclusive, confident, and legally compliant workplace.

Our Disability Trainer can travel to your premises to deliver either a customised half-day or one-day training course.

Our trainer has real life experience of living with a physical disability and can therefore discuss issues in a way that a disabled person typically views the issues and challenges they face in the workplace on a daily basis.

Our half-day session fee for this in-house training is typically £545.00 plus vat (for up to 8 attendees).

Typically onsite training is based on tailoring our standard course to the challenges you may face in your workplace when communicating and creating a more inclusive environment.

Our Public Courses involve individuals from different organisations coming together in a small classroom environment.

Our Disability trainer will teach the attendees useful features and skills to make your workplace feel and become an inclusive environment.

People can attend both sessions or only one of the Disability & Legal Responsibilities or Applying Inclusive Practices in the Workplace half-day sessions.

The half-day session fee for a place is £275.00 plus vat (a supporting reference manual & a light lunch are provided for full day attendees).
